With over 25 years experience in the appraisal profession, our C.E.O. brings a unique mix to this industry. His certification as both a General Appraiser (Commercial) and a Residential Appraiser in Wisconsin provides our firm with the ability to handle all of your appraisal needs. His licensing as a Wisconsin Assessor and a Wisconsin Real Estate Broker along with extensive training in both fields provides a perspective to appraisal assignments that is most beneficial. This knowledge of numerous fields has often benefited clients when a court appearance becomes unavoidable.
He is recoginzed in several courts as an expert witness in matters pertaining to real estate. You will find that this comprehensive knowledge of the appraisal and real estate profession results in consistent quality work, producing appraisal reports that you can truly bank on. Holding an associates degree as a Paralegal with seven years experience in a Milwaukee law firm, this background has provided the expertise needed to consistently provide professional reports and service.
A COLLEGE LEVEL INSTRUCTOR:
In addition to his expertise in the appraisal arena, Liptack is also an approved course instructor in Wisconsin on the college level. After working for the Wisconsin Technical College system for nearly ten (10) years, he sought and obtained approval as an independent instructor in Wisconsin for approved course study in matters pertaining to appraisals, assessing, real estate and home inspection. He has authored and taught over twenty five (25) different courses, often unque to the profession.
A LUMBERJACK COMMUNITY:
Born and raised in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, Liptack has lived all this life in the recreational community of Lakewood. Lakewood is a township located in the heart of the Nicolet National Forest, that offers an abundance of lakes, streams and recreational opportunities. His residence is located across the street from the former farm (now a golf course) where his mother once lived. His grandfather, George R. Bauers was camp foreman at the historic Holt and Balcom Logging camp, the oldest logging camp in the nation still on its original site in Lakewood, Wisconsin. The Camp is visible from his home along the McCauslin Brook. George R Bauers was a pioneer in the logging profession. He came up with the idea of "piece work" as an incentive to get more work out of the Jacks, a concept that is still used today. Liptack's great grandparents were among the first settlers in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, homesteading in an area now known as Townsend, then known as North Lakewood.
Liptack was elected as a local assessor in the town of Lakewood at the age of 21, and has been re-elected continually, now the last elected assessor in Oconto County. Although qualified in many areas, he is most qualifed to complete appraisal assignments involving rural recreational and waterfront properties. His knowledge of properties in the Northwoods, together with a massive data base of sales, will help assure that your report is provided with both speed and adequate detail.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT AND FAMILY:
Liptack has five children, 4 boys and one daughter. His daughter is studying law in Illinois, his oldest son is a graduate of St. Norbert College in DePere, where he played 4 years (3 as Midwest Conference Champs) as Defensive End with the Green Nights, the last two as a starter. Liptack's Uncle was a major league pitcher for both the Cubs and the Pirates. All of his children participate in sports. His second oldest, a quarterback for the Rebel Squad, now lives next door and remains in the Lakewood area. His two youngest sons both play Rebel football and Roller basketball.
Liptack is a coach for the both the local high school and elementary school. He is either a head coach or an assitant for both football and basketball. He coaches from the 5th/6th grade level to the high school level 12 months a year. He remains active in other community activities. He is president of the school district's Parent/Teacher Association. He has served on the library board, assisted in boy scouts, orgainzed youth football, served as a local zoning administrator, former parish treasurer/trustee and many other activities.
